We are pleased to announce the launch of the English version of the official website of Shodoshima Daikannon.

This new page was created with heartfelt care so that visitors from around the world can learn more about the history, faith, and beauty of the Great Kannon of Shodoshima, as well as the charm of the island itself.

Standing gracefully on the peaceful island of Shodoshima, overlooking the Seto Inland Sea,

the Great Kannon has been a beloved spiritual symbol for over 30 years.

Her serene presence and the tranquil atmosphere surrounding the temple attract many visitors from both Japan and abroad.

The English site introduces the origin and significance of the statue, the sacred Buddhist Relic (Buddha’s Tooth),
